1st September 2018
The leadership of coalition of Unemployed Nurses (CUN) wish to commend GNMTA and all health coalition groups for their unwavering stands to ensure equity, accountability and transparency for us (unemployed nurses and midwives).
If you reflect back, it is clear that this current government isn’t ready to listen to us and we must continue to ensure constitutional autonomy until our aim is accomplished.
We have been patient enough, we have been on the negotiating table for long, we have been on the street severally, picketing is our daily job, we have received a lot of treacherous promises from government, we have been molested by our own people in government and state security, with all these trauma in a quest to serve our dear nation but all to no avail.
We shall continue to follow due process in our constitution (1992) to ensure the right thing is done to us(unemployed and midwives) hence the call for six regional demonstrations on 5TH SEPTEMBER , 2018.
We are calling on all members across the country to make it core duty to attend this historic event. This demonstrations will be the first ever big Demonstration in this country, and it clearly shows that the current government has failed us woefully. we called it NATION WIDE DEMONSTRATION.
This demonstration is not for only unemployed nurses, it involves trainees nurses, our seniors who are in the wards, our fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters, and all well meaning Ghanaians who are ready to sympathize with us should please join us for this peaceful historic Demonstration on 5/09/2018.
