Doctor Thomas Anabah, the formal medical director of Ridge Hospital Accra and currently managing his private Hospital in Tamale in recent times has begun a giving back to the society exercise.
This saw him donate furniture to Worikambo RC Primary school and also repaired the school’s borehole which was nonfunctional for some couple of months and students had to carry water from home to facilitate preparation of food at school and washing of their hands.
Late last he supported the communally constructed Community Health Center (CHPs) in Kolmasug by donating patient beds and mattresses and some assorted medical consumables to the facility.
He as well promised to provide the facility with a fridge if the government provides electricity to the facility. It is for this reason he called on government to help construct a borehole for facility since there was no borehole close by and extend electricity to the facility which is just some few metres away from the facility.
This year is no different and he has begun his benevolence. On 23rd January 2019, he was in Songo and Denigu Health centres, both in the Garu District of the Upper East Region of Ghana to make donations.
He donated beds, mattresses, paint, pulse oxymeter and brushes to the Songo and Denigu Health Centres to assist their operations. He promised to take care of the labour cost of the painting of the Denigu health centre.
The Cheif of Songo showed his appreciation for the donation by offering him a huge cock. The cheif also took the opportunity to call on successful people healing from there to emulate Dr Anabah by giving back to their community.
He called on the residents to take their health very serious and he as well explained some health issues to them in his bid to educate them more on their health.
The items were received by the heads of the facilities on behalf of the District Director of Health Services who was unable to attend due other equally important activities. They who were very thankful for his kind gesture.
